I have a fascination with the material nature of sculpture. Turning wax into bronze is something akin to alchemy. Working with formalist theories, I manipulate waxes into a variety of inventive shapes that may be experienced in ‘the round’. As one moves around the sculpture the nature of the image will change according to ones own viewpoint in space. My aim is to combine beauty with a sense of wonder and maintain a dynamic viewing experience.

Similarly, with my photographic works, the subject of material change also plays a role.  These images are created with light and fabric captured in a digital format to resemble three dimensional line drawings. Light and shadow have always been a fascination for me and this is an on going investigation into the changeability of subject through light and will continue to impact my practice.
